Education
Hayley developed
a passion for art during her GCSEs and went on to study it at
A-Level where she focused on developing her skills as a painter. Hayley
went on to complete a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at The Arts
Institute, Bournemouth. During this time, Hayley experimented with many
media and cemented her passion for human nature and the concept of
female sexuality, writing an essay exploring 'What Makes a Portrait
Sexual'.
Hayley was accepted to University College Falmouth to study for a Fine
Art degree. Throughout her university career, Hayley explored various
aspects of human nature, voyeurism and sexuality and developed her
painting skills. In her final year, Hayley closed in on the idea of
voyeurism and female sexuality producing a wide spectrum of paintings
revolving around the subject. Her dissertation was titled 'Painting the
Figure from the Perspective of Four 21st Century Artists' and was an
in-depth exploration of modern figurative painting, focusing on the
work of Kurt Kauper, Elizabeth Peyton, John Currin and Alex Katz.
